We want you to reach your destination reliably and on time. If this is not the case, you have the option to switch to a taxi.
As part of the mobility guarantee, TUTicket covers the taxi costs incurred up to the maximum amount.
When can the mobility guarantee be used?
You can make use of the mobility guarantee if you reach your destination due to a delay or a cancellation due to a delay of more than 30 minutes than stated in the timetable and you have no other alternative route with buses and trains of the transport association.
Who is entitled to the mobility guarantee?
Adults and seniors with the WochenCard (Weekly Travel Card), MonatsCard (Monthly Ticket) and AboCard (annual ticket adult/senior) from TUTicket (incl. 3-er tariff (TUTicket, VSB, VVR) issued by TUTicket).
Taxis can be reimbursed for severely disabled people with free travel authorization.
Unfortunately, no refund is possible for passengers with single and day tickets as well as time cards for schoolchildren / trainees / students.
How much will the costs be reimbursed?
Holders of AboCards or AboCard Senior can receive a refund up to a maximum of € 50.00.
For passengers with monthly cards or severely disabled people with token, we will cover the taxi costs up to € 35.00. We can only reimburse up to € 15.00 for holders of weekly cards.
When is the reimbursement excluded?
The mobility guarantee can always be claimed if one of the transport companies cooperating with TUTicket is at fault. Force majeure such as Severe weather, winter road conditions, accidents, emergency doctor and police operations, bomb threats, strikes or interventions by third parties in the rail or bus traffic as well as announced measures such as Road closures, unfortunately there is no claim for compensation. Refunds are also excluded if the delay or cancellation was known before the ticket was purchased.
How can you claim the warranty?
Please send the fully completed reimbursement request together with the original receipt of the taxi and a copy of the ticket or severely disabled ID including free travel authorization to the TUTicket Customer Center within 14 days of the incident. After checking the claim, the transfer will be made to the bank account you specified. A cash payment and offsetting when buying a ticket are excluded. The TUTicket mobility guarantee is a voluntary additional service from which no legal claim can be derived.
